Birth Month

Well, apparently it's time for my monthly update... Hahaha.

Things have been kind of hectic, but good lately. My birthday was this earlier this month. [On Texas Independence Day!] I went to dinner on my birthday with Trip, mom, Lou & Chris to Babe's Chicken Dinner House. Unfortunately, Chris told the waitress it was my birthday while I was in the bathroom...Damn my tiny bladder! The food was really good & the chocolate meringue pie was oh sooo yummy! The next Thursday Trip had band practice after work, so I spent the day with the lovely Elizabeth. Friday night Trip & I went to dinner at this awesome little Mexican place down in Deep Ellum. Afterward we went to Angry Dog for a few drinks & to watch the Stars game. Despite Trip's claims of sucking at buying gifts he did quite well. Sunday we went shopping at North Park, got matching Fossil watches, then toys at the Disney store & the Lego store. We're such nerds lol. Twas a good birthday week.

Then Trip's birthday was last week. Fortunately most of his gifts arrived before his birthday. I'm still waiting on two though. One I pre-ordered & won't be out till the middle of May, but the other should have been here by now. PFT! Basically I got him a bunch of toys haha. I got him a RC Ferrari F40, which is his dream car. So I can officially say I bought him a Ferrari for his birthday. :p Also got him some new & some reproduction Tron action figures... Did I mention we're nerds?

Right now I'm hanging out at the apartment. Sebastian is going insane, running amuck, attacking my computer, the bed, the couch, his tail, a box & the springy door stoppers (well, the two that are left.) I'm so friggin' hungry, but I have no idea what I want. I'll probably end up getting either Chinese or Corner Bakery. They're both super close & let's face it....I'm feeling uber lazy at the moment.

Trip has band practice after work tonight. So, I'm going to have dinner with the bestie, Sonia, tonight. I'm looking forward to some girl time. Then tomorrow is lunch with Elizabeth. Looks like I have a good week ahead of me!

Been awhile...

Well, it's been awhile since I've bothered to post. I haven't been doing much of anything artsy lately. I've been too...distracted by other things, I guess you could say. Right now I'm at Trip's (the C.S.S.) place, waiting on him to come home from work. I needed a break from home after being snowed in for five days with no water. Too say the least, it's been a good past week. I'm going to reluctantly go home in the morning. Boo. I do miss my 'kids' though.

I've been working on going back to school soon. I'll be attending Paul Mitchell for cosmetology. It's time I get off my ass & do something with my life. Job wise, things have been rather bleak. Fortunately, it's located just between Trip's place & the bestie's place. Can't get much more convenient for me! Now I just need to find a night job while I'm in school & move back to Dallas. I don't really want a roommate, but I'll probably have to find one. At least for the year I'm in school.

Off to be domestic for a little while before he gets home. Ciao!

Let it snow...

First snow of 2011, first snow of the winter even.. It looks beautiful. Just glad I don't have to go anywhere. Sarge absolutely loves the snow. He's now crashed out hard on his bed. Too cute!

Ugh...

I really don't understand people... I just watched the most disturbing video I've ever seen. [I admit, I let my curiosity get the best of me.] It's just unfathomable to me how people can be so out right cruel to one another. On top of it all, I just saw a mutilated horse on History Channel. Lovely, just lovely. I swear I'm going to have nightmares tonight. Makes me wish my C.S.S. was here tonight...but probably better that he's not here to see me freak out in the middle of the night. Hah. Tank better be in a cuddly mood. I'm going to need it!

New Year, New....?

I'm sitting on the couch at the Certain Special Someone's place. He's playing Gran Turismo & I'm blogging. Quite the pair we are. He asked me "What're you doing? Blogging?" "Yea." Then he mimics me saying "I'm so bored that I'm blogging because he's playing Gran Turismo!" "Nooo, if I were that bored I'd tell you. I just haven't updated in awhile." He's too funny.

I'm ready for the Winter Classic tonight. My Penguins better whoop some Capitals ass! Even if the C.S.S. does really like the Caps. It's one time we root for rival teams. I love my Pens!

I think New Year's is a funny thing.. People make all these lofty goals & really try to attain them for the first couple of weeks, maybe a month. Then they get burnt out & just say fuck it. I quit making resolutions a long time ago. I consider making one each New Year, but I know it's pointless. If I'm going to get something done the fact that it's New Year's or not doesn't have any bearing on it. Maybe that's just me though.

I want some chocolate...hmmm.....

There are just some things you shouldn't see first thing in the morning (or ever)... Naked sister-in-law is right at the top of my list. Very top. -shudders- T.R.A.U.M.A.T.I.Z.E.D. I mean, it's fine if you sleep naked. I don't care because I do too. If you're staying at someone else's house though, have the decency to put something on when you get up to go to the bathroom in the morning! Especially when you know those people are up. C'mon, just common sense!

Speaking of Cthulhu... I definitely need him. He is fantabulous & must be mine! I have a slight obsession with all things cephalopod. I would love to have a pet cuttle fish. I'm a dork like that. Maybe one day I'll have one.. Is it even legal to own them? Hmmm.. Should probably check into that first lol.

I got Sarge a new bed for Xmas. Seems everyone likes it. Sarge, Tank, Emily.... I tried to convince Emily it was where she was sleeping last night. She didn't buy it. Tank has currently taken it over, atm. He looks quite content. Sarge came to lay down, saw Tank, turned around & walked away lol. Poor baby can't get a a break.

My madre & I have the kids until Wednesday.... If it was just Alex it would be fun, but no.. We have the both of them. I may end up running away to the C.S.S.'s place just so I don't slit my wrists lol. He did say I could anytime I wanted, so I'll have to hold him to that.

So, other than the craziness & this morning I had a good Xmas. Got some pretty cool stuff. Red cashmere peacoat, 1 terabyte external drive, dishes, towels, sheets, pjs, purse, makeup, candle, first 3 seasons of Big Bang Theory, first 2 seasons of How I Met Your Mother, Get Him to the Greek, Clash of the Titans, Dirty Dancing, The Women, gift cards & money, bunch of candy, fuzzy socks & other randomness. Hope everyone else had a good Xmas too.

Off to freeze my ass off while feeding the horses now. Au revoir.

Reality...

It was a long, but good weekend. Went to stay at the Certain Special Someone's place on Friday night. Lazed around most of the next day with him, watching movies & what not. The bestie & I were supposed to have our annual crafting extravaganza Saturday night. Instead we mostly wrapped her presents for her family lol. All I made was the rest of her Xmas gift. I was just not feelin' it. Of course, I took a ton of stuff over there....for no apparent reason lol. Went to dinner with her & the C.S.S. at Snuffer's. I love their cheese fries mmm! Stayed the night at the bestie's, ran errands in the morning with her, then went to the C.S.S.'s for lunch & to watch sports (Cowboys game then the Stars game). After that, I went to dinner with my friend Elizabeth & her cousin while the C.S.S. went to his parent's Xmas party. I was supposed to go home after dinner, but the C.S.S. wanted me to come back over to stay the night. He's so friggin' cute. We got to spend a lot of good quality time together this weekend. It was really nice.

Anyways, I'm now back to 'reality'. Trying to finish getting ready. I should be done with everything by tomorrow afternoon. All I have left to do now is bake a few batches of cookies & a large amount of chex mix. Xmas day should be easy peasy since I'm not actually cooking this year. Everyone is always full on cheese & crackers by the time lunch is ready. So, I'm saying "fuck it!" this year. Doing appetizers only. Got lots of pretty fruit for the fruit tray at Sam's. Yum!

Well, I'm off to feed the horses. I have Xmas dinner with Roder tonight. Haven't hung out with him in months. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Just not feeling it...

I'm so not in the holiday spirit this year. Kinda just ready for the whole thing to be over. Although, I do really want to go look at Xmas lights & go ice skating with a certain special someone. Hopefully we'll get to do that sometime in the next week.

I went on a Xmas vacation with my madre last Saturday (12/4/10) to East Texas. We went to see the Candle Light Tour of Homes & Ghost Walk in Jefferson, TX. Also went to see the Xmas parade in Marshall, TX. In the past years we've gone it was always a lot of fun.. Not so much this time. I don't know if it's because I'm not feeling Christmasy or if it was because I was missing that certain special someone. We came back home on Wednesday (12/8/10).

That night I went to go stay with my C.S.S. I have to admit, that was so much better than the vacation. I'll take that any day. Please & thank you. He came over last night to meet the madre & hang out with my menagerie & I. My cat & dog both seemed to love him... (<---Awwwe, how cute is that?!) I made German food for dinner. Rouladen, hot German potato salad, Bavarian sauerkraut & roasted broccoli. It was quite yummy. This morning it was Southwest scramble & jalapeño cheese toast for breakfast in bed. I just can't help myself. I love to spoil people & he sure doesn't mind. ;] But who wouldn't want to be spoiled, right?

I really need to get to work on finishing my jewelry for Xmas gifts. See what I mean about not being in the Xmas mood? Blah. Of course, it would help if i actually made a list of who I need to make jewelry for...hahaha. I've been ultra lazy & have no excuse for it! I haven't even put up the Xmas tree. Way to go, Marion, way to go!

I have a long weekend ahead of me. Not sure if I should be excited or dreading it. I guess I'll have to wait & see. Must make sure my iPod is fully charged before leaving the house, that's for sure. I am looking forward to Wednesday though. It should be a good night with a certain someone... ;]

I rearranged my jewelry work station finally.. Well, more like moved it. I had been camped out at the kitchen table forever. Decided to move everything to the desk in my room. I could certainly use more room, but I like it better, none the less. Fortunately the move has inspired me to work more.. Made a few pieces the past few days..

Fresh Start,

I love autumn. It's always my favorite time of year. The changing leaves, the scent in the air & of course...football! Autumn always brings a lot of inspiration for my artistic side. I've been really slacking in the crafty-ness department lately. I'm redoing my work station in hopes that it will give me the motivation to get to work. So far, it looks pretty good. I'm going to be doing this as an arts & crafts blog mostly. I'll be posting pictures of the things I make. Snagging the idea from my lovely bestie!

Many things in the works. Lots of change in the air.. Life is good & I'm a happy girl!
